De La Salle University Medical Center (DLSUMC) is the largest private tertiary hospital in Cavite and a service of De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute. It is dedicated to delivering quality, holistic, and compassionate patient-centered care. It is also the first hospital in the Philippines to be certified under the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
DLSUMC operates under the stewardship of the De La Salle Brothers Philippines and is jointly administered by medical consultants and the Sisters of St. Paul de Chartres. Located within the 24-hectare campus of De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute in City of Dasmariñas, Cavite. As part of its vision, DLSUMC continuously upgrades its facilities and improves the delivery of healthcare services to the people of Cavite and its neighboring towns, cities, and provinces.

1977
The University Physicians’ Foundation Inc. was organized to establish a medical school in Dasmariñas, Cavite, in support of the then government’s policy of dispersing educational facilities outside the capital city and encouraging the establishment of medical schools in various regions of the country to ensure the delivery of quality health care in the regions.

1980
The Foundation secured an additional 1.2 hectares of property, paving the way for the construction of a new 100-bed hospital.

1982
The inauguration of the University Medical Center (UMC), a distinguished four-storey teaching hospital boasting 100 beds, marked a significant milestone. Dr. Paulo Campos entrusted the administration of the hospital to the Sisters of St. Paul of Chartres.

1987
The ownership of the University Medical Center transitioned to De La Salle University, prompting the hospital's rebranding as De La Salle University Medical Center (DLSUMC).

1990
DLSUMC furthered its expansion efforts with the inauguration of its second building, aptly named in honor of Mr. Raul Wu, a generous donor from Hong Kong. This expansion boosted the hospital's bed capacity to 150. Additionally, a newly established 22-bed pediatric ward, complete with pediatric and neonatal intensive care units, was unveiled, enhancing the hospital's capabilities to provide comprehensive care for young patients.

DLSUMC was certified the “Best Tertiary Level Hospital in Region IV” based on the services rendered and the number of staff and existing facilities.

1994
DLSUMC expanded its reach by acquiring a satellite hospital in Alfonso, Cavite, extending its quality healthcare services to the surrounding community and beyond.

1995
UNICEF honored the hospital with the prestigious designation of a Mother-Baby Friendly Hospital, recognizing its steadfast commitment to promoting breastfeeding initiatives and fostering maternal and infant well-being.

1999
DLSUMC proudly made history in October 1999 as the inaugural hospital in the Philippines to attain ISO 9001 Certification (Quality Management System) from TUV–Rheinland, solidifying its commitment to excellence in healthcare provision and patient satisfaction.

2004
The DLSUMC Adult Immunization Center, the first of its kind in the country, was inaugurated, marking a significant milestone in healthcare advancement and public health initiatives.

2005
DLSUMC achieved yet another milestone by obtaining ISO 14001 certification for Environmental Management System, further affirming its commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

2011
The DLSUMC Heart Institute commenced its operations on September 15, ushering in a new era of comprehensive cardiac care and innovation.

2015
The grand unveiling of the Premier Suites and Premier Suites Lounge added a touch of elegance and luxury to DLSUMC's offerings, providing guests with an upscale experience in comfort and sophistication.

2016
The Medical Arts Center, which houses the doctor’s clinics, Specialized Services Units, an Endoscopy Unit, and a Day Surgery Center, among other facilities, was opened and commenced operations.

2023
DLSUMC unveiled an exciting addition to its array of services: the introduction of PET-CT Scan capabilities, marking a significant leap forward in advanced medical diagnostics.
